Carly Pearce previously hosted the CMA Country Christmas special on ABC for two years. She co-hosted 2021’s program with Gabby Barrett, and hosted solo in 2022.
During those two years, fans got the chance to hear Pearce sing classic Christmas tunes such as “O Holy Night” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.”

Pearce is not hosting CMA Country Christmas this year. Trisha Yearwood and Amy Grant are the new hosts for 2023.
But Pearce’s fans still got the chance to watch her deliver a new holiday performance!
Pearce joined the all-star lineup of artists performing during the 2023 Christmas in Rockefeller Center TV special. The special aired on NBC on Wednesday (November 29) at 8 PM ET.
Performers included Pearce, Cher, Barry Manilow, Chloe Bailey, Keke Palmer, and host Kelly Clarkson, among others. The special was held in New York City in the heart of Rockefeller Center, which is where The Kelly Clarkson Show is filmed.
Pearce actually performed twice! First, she graced the audience with a “twangy” rendition of Brenda Lee’s hit song “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” before she performed “(Everybody’s Waitin’ for) The Man with the Bag.”
“(Everybody’s Waitin’ for) The Man with the Bag” has a Christmas staple since Irving Taylor, Dudley Brooks, and Hal Stanley wrote it in 1950. It was originally made popular by singer Kay Starr and has since been covered by countless artists, including Carly Pearce!
Later in the TV special, she returned to the stage to perform “O Holy Night.”
It was yet another display of dazzling holiday performances from her!
