John Foster Made A Lasting Impression On Season 23 Of American Idol
The Grand Ole Opry recently hosted a mini American Idol reunion, as judge Carrie Underwood and former finalist John Foster stepped into the circle on the same night.
John Foster competed on Season 23 of Idol this year (2025). The young country artist from Louisiana won America’s hearts with his covers of country classics such as Brooks & Dunn‘s “Believe” and “Neon Moon,” and Garth Brooks‘ “Callin’ Baton Rouge.”
Foster’s most memorable performance came when he performed his original song, “Tell That Angel I Love Her,” during the Idol Easter special. He wrote the song in tribute to two of his friends who were killed in a car accident.
