Some of the best moments of tonight belong to just one performer…and that includes incredible performances and a seemingly endless list of accolades.

Well, that list just got longer – when he took home one of the biggest honors of the night. (On top of the rest of the awards he’d already won!)

Chris Stapleton issued a performance of his own song “Cold,” surprised everyone after performing a duet with Jennifer Hudson, and took home no less than three different awards.

He was up against quite a few other solid albums for the Album of the Year category and the nominees were the following:

Album of the Year

  • “29,” Carly Pearce
  • “Dangerous: The Double Album,” Morgan Wallen
  • “Heart,” Eric Church
  • “Skeletons,” Brothers Osborne
  • “Starting Over,” Chris Stapleton

On top of Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, Stapleton won Single of the Year and Song of the Year. We are sending our biggest congrats to him on this HUGE night of wins.

Check out his performance of “Cold” from the 55th CMA Awards below.
