Jelly Roll just reached a huge career milestone: He won Breakthrough Video of the Year at the 2023 CMT Music Awards!
His win was announced during the awards show, which aired live from Austin, Texas, on Sunday night (April 2).
Jelly Roll was presented with his Breakthrough Video of the Year award by last year’s winner, Parker McCollum. After being announced as the winner, Jelly Roll made his way to the stage where he dedicated his win to the “losers.”

“They let a loser win tonight, baby!” Jelly Roll declared as the crowd roared with applause.
After thanking his record label, management and wife, the singer acknowledged his fans.
“This is more than an award,” he said. “This is for the underdogs, baby. This is for the losers and the have not. God takes the impossible and makes it look small.”

Competition was fierce in this category. Jelly Roll beat out Bailey Zimmerman’s “Fall In Love,” Corey Kent’s “Wild As Her,” Drake Milligan’s “Sounds Like Something I’d Do,” Jackson Dean’s “Don’t Come Lookin’,” and Nate Smith’s “Whiskey On You.”
