Cody Johnson Reveals Release Date For New Album, “Leather”

Cody Johnson Finally Shares Long-Awaited Release Date For Next Album

At last, we know when Cody Johnson plans to release his next album, Leather.

Johnson first spoke about Leather during an interview with KMLE Country 107.9 at Arizona’s Country Thunder festival in April 2023. He revealed its title at that point.

“This round…I have to say is the best round of songs I have ever recorded and I feel like that’s the way it should be,” Johnson said. “Each album should outdo the last one.”

Johnson didn’t share a release date at that time. He simply said to expect it “maybe by the end of the year, maybe next year.”

He Shared Its Lead Single, “The Painter,” In August

Johnson gave fans a first look at Leather when he released the album’s first single on August 11. The song is called “The Painter.”

The romantic tune has Johnson singing:

“She took chances. With every wall I built she saw a canvas. I thank God every day for how he made her. My life was black and white but she’s the painter.”

Of course, “The Painter” made Johnson think of his beautiful wife, Brandi.

The Release Date For The New Cody Johnson Album Revealed…

After much anticipation, Johnson finally revealed Leather‘s release date. Mark your calendars for November 3!

“#COJONation, I’m excited to announce that my new album Leather is out November 3rd and is available for pre-order now! Link in my bio. #Leather” Johnson wrote in a post on social media.
