“We cannot express our profound sorrow or comprehend the purpose behind the loss of this gentle spirit,” the band wrote on their Facebook page after revealing their devastating loss.

At just 34 years old, Tyler Oban was far too young to pass away and his former bandmates, friends, and family members all share in that heartbreaking sentiment.

Oban, who was part of popular country music group, The Railers, had long been their drummer and an inseparable part of their musical team.

Taking to social media on Thursday, July 19th – The Railers announced the tragic passing of their young friend and a talented musician.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must announce the passing of our former bandmate Tyler Oban,” the group shared solemnly. “Tyler was a brilliant, kind, thoughtful spirit and loved his family, deep conversations, helping others realize their potential, being out on the lake, and his hometown football team – the Indianapolis Colts.”

His cause of death has not been revealed yet, but it’s no question that the world of music is a darker place without his talent and loving spirit.
