“Dancing With The Stars” Eliminates First Female Celebrity Of Season 35

Dancing With the Stars Season 35 is officially underway! Wednesday night’s episode marked the end of the two-night season premiere and saw the second celebrity sent home.
The highly anticipated 35th season of Dancing With the Stars kicked off Tuesday night with dances from the eight male celebrities and their professional partners. At the end of the two-hour episode, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Conner Leavitt was eliminated.

During Wednesday’s episode, the female celebrities and their partners took their turn on the dance floor. The celebrities who danced were:
- “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” actress Tatyana Ali and her partner, Jan Ravnik, performed a Jive to “Knock on Wood” by Amii Stewart
- Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis and partner Alan Bersten danced a Tango to “Venus” by Shocking Blue
- Actress Jenna Dewan and her professional partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, performed a Tango to “Call Me” by Blondie
- Olympic gold medalist Amber Glenn and partner Pasha Pashkov danced a Cha Cha to “Smooth” by Santana ft. Rob Thomas
- Maura Higgins, Irish television personality known for her appearance on “The Traitors,” and her partner and “The Traitors” co-star, Mark Ballas, performed a Foxtrot to “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles
- TV personality and model Ciara Miller and partner Brandon Armstrong performed a Foxtrot to “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)” by Whitney Houston
- Model and television personality Sarah Jane Nader and her partner, Hailey Bills, danced a Jive to “Sk8er Boi” by Avril Lavigne
- Actress Julia Stiles and her professional partner, Ezra Sosa, danced a Quickstep to “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton
Whose Dancing With The Stars journey came to an end?
Despite viewer criticism of the show’s choice to allow any eliminations in the premiere week, Dancing With the Stars producers stood by their decision, and a second celebrity was sent home.
Hosts Alfonso Ribiero and Juliann Hough announced who was safe until only three teams were left standing. Then they revealed that Sarah Jane Nader and Hailey Bills were eliminated and would not advance to Week 2.
