One dancer is officially joining the Dancing with the Stars cast after being crowned the champion of Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.

The new competition series aired its finale on Monday night, August 31.

For the past seven weeks, professional dancers from around the world have come together to prove they have what it takes to become a pro on the upcoming Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.

It’s been tough for everyone involved. There have been tears, injuries, and plenty of moments when the dancers were pushed to their absolute limit. But in the end, one person managed to rise above the rest.

Fans who tuned in saw Selena Hamilton, AJ Pritchard, and Adele Zaikman reach the finale. For their last challenge, they had to choreograph and teach two brand-new routines to former DWTS contestants.

After all was said and done, judges Mark Ballas, Shirley Ballas, and guest judge Derek Hough named Adele Zaikman the winner.

“I just feel like this is a celebration. All the sacrifices that I have done, it’s just a big, ‘I made it’ moment,” Adele said following her big win.

Adele’s final performance drew high praise from the judges. She was partnered with Nev Schulman, the host of MTV’s Catfish, who previously competed on Season 29 of DWTS.

In his feedback, Derek told Adele that he could already see her fitting in perfectly as a cast member.

“Adele, you could just walk across the floor and you would be captivating,” he said. “If you became a pro, you wouldn’t just fit in; you would elevate the rest of the Dancing with the Stars cast. I really believe that.”

What We Know About Season 35 Of Dancing With The Stars So Far

Adele’s celebrity partner will be announced alongside the rest of the Season 35 cast on Wednesday, September 2, on Good Morning America.

So far, two other pro dancers have been confirmed.

Whitney Carson will return to the ballroom after winning Season 34 with Robert Irwin. This time around, though, things will be a little different, as Whitney recently revealed that she is pregnant with her third child.

Sharna Burgess will also be returning as a pro dancer. Sharna hasn’t been on the show in five years, so longtime viewers are especially excited for her comeback.

The lineup includes Traitors runner-up and former Love Island UK contestant Maura Higgins, Summer House star Ciara Miller, Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! star Guillermo Rodriguez, who will be partnered with Whitney.
