Bad Bunny Was Announced As The 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Performer

After weeks of speculation, the NFL finally revealed who will be the 2026 Super Bowl halftime performer. Taylor Swift and Adele were the two names that had been thrown around the most recently, but on Sunday (September 28) the NFL put the rumors to rest.

Musician Bad Bunny was officially announced as the Super Bowl LX Halftime Performer.

YouTube video

Bad Bunny is a rapper, singer, and producer from Puerto Rico, who has been dubbed the “King of Latin Trap,” and considered one of the best latin rappers of all time.

Not only are his musical talents impressive, he also has shown off his comedic side during his several Saturday Night Live appearances. He had a scene-stealing role in Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2 and had roles in the films F9, Bullet Train, Cassandro, and Caught Stealing.

Fans React To The Announcement

Many people were ecstatic to hear that bad Bunny will be performing at the Super Bowl, especially since he admitted that he didn’t add any tour stops in the United States because of the fear of ICE raids at his shows.

Since he only performs in Spanish, a majority of his fanbase are latinos. He kicked off his 2025-2026 tour with a two-month residency at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He also has dates in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina.

When speaking about leaving the US off his tour schedule, he said, “People from the US could come here to see the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans of the United States could also travel here, or to any part of the world. But there was the issue that … ICE could be outside [my concert venue]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”

One fan said, “Congratulations, LOVE TO SEE US LATINOS GET THE SHINE WE DESERVE.”

Another said, “Yesss!!! Let’s go BENITO!!!”
