Drake White’s Wife, Alex, Is Pregnant With Their Second Baby
Congratulations are in order for Drake White and his beautiful wife, Alex, because they’re expecting their second baby!
The Whites joyfully announced their pregnancy news on social media. They posted several snapshots of themselves outside with their two-year-old son, Hawk, who proudly held his baby sibling’s sonograms in one of the pictures. He also wore an adorable t-shirt that read “big brother.”
Drake and Alex’s pregnancy announcement also served as a gender reveal. They announced they’re expecting their first daughter!
“Hawk’s big brother duties are about to begin!” the couple captioned their pictures. “We’re excited to welcome a baby girl to our family this November.“
Drake and Alex shared more details about their baby girl with PEOPLE. They already have a name in mind, which will honor two important people in Alex’s family.
“We are going to use family names and name her after both of Alex’s grandmothers,” Drake said.
Alex said she’s been feeling “pretty good” besides experiencing occasional nausea at night. She also shared what her pregnancy cravings have been:
“I have been craving salty and sour foods, as well as fresh vegetables, which is strange because I couldn’t even look at a vegetable early in pregnancy with our son,” she said.
The Whites Open Up About Their IVF Experience
Drake and Alex told PEOPLE they were able to get pregnant with their baby girl through IVF.
“We were able to conceive through IVF and had our frozen embryo transfer in March,” Alex said. “We found out we were pregnant 10 days later and are due in November.”
Drake added, “We feel so blessed and thankful to grow our family through the miracle of IVF.”
The Whites previously struggled with fertility issues for six years before getting pregnant with their son, Hawk, in 2022. During that same six-year period, both Alex and Drake found themselves dealing with other serious health issues.
Alex was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and a rare neurological disorder called chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. Drake was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called arteriovenous malformation after suffering a stroke onstage in 2019.
Alex also underwent multiple rounds of IUI during those six years. Eventually, they turned to IVF and were able to conceive their son, Hawk.
The Whites feel incredibly blessed that IVF has given them the chance to welcome another baby into their family. Alex explained how their loved ones reacted to the news:
“Sharing the news with our family and friends has been one of the best parts of the whole pregnancy. We love seeing them as excited as we are to welcome a new baby into the world.”
