Drew Baldridge proposed to his longtime girlfriend Katherine Kraus on Monday (March 16).
On a private beach in Aruba, Baldridge got down on one knee and popped the question.
Detailing the event, Baldridge said:
“We got to the beach and walked to the water. Our friends were standing there and I asked them to take a photo of us by the ocean since we didn’t have one yet. In that moment we walked to the edge of the water, I hit my knee.”
Although it all worked out beautifully, things didn’t go exactly as planned. Baldridge had originally planned to propose to Kraus in Paris however, once the coronavirus pandemic hit things had to change and quickly.
Baldridge felt as though everything happened the way it was supposed to and it was meant to be saying:
“God had a plan and this was the way it was supposed to happen. Not in Paris like I had planned, but right there on that beach in Aruba.”
Baldridge also had another sweet surprise for his new fiancé. He teamed up with country duo LoCash and wrote a song for Kraus called “Before You.” The song tells the story of their relationship and how she has changed him for the better.
