Dwayne Johnson Responds To Girl Taking His Cardboard Cut-Out To Prom

One of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s biggest fans, Mel, never expected she’d be hearing from the superstar himself after she posted a picture on social media of her standing in her prom dress next to a cardboard cut-out of him.

“Thank you @therock for taking me to prom. I had so much fun. Best date a person could ask for,” she wrote on Instagram.

Mel posted a few photos on Instagram, one showing her standing next to The Rock cardboard cut-out with a beautiful pond and green scenery behind him.

Another photo showed her standing in an apartment with the cut-out and all her friends standing around it. And another one showed Mel and a friend of hers standing next to it while they were actually at the prom event.

A few days later, the real Dwayne Johnson commented on her post saying it was the best prom date ever. He then reposted all her photos onto his own Instagram and

“It was absolutely my honor @smilesweetsraccoon and you were the best prom date EVER!! Great to meet your family and friends too! P.S., I’m super happy you posted this! Have the best summer!” The Rock wrote on Instagram.

Since The Rock shared the photos on his social media, Mel’s original photo got a lot of attention and, as of press, it’s been liked more than 48 thousand times and has received hundreds of comments.
