Two of country music’s biggest stars recently united for a collaboration we predict fans will be talking about for weeks to come!

Ella Langley and Cody Johnson were both part of the lineup for the Braves Country Fest in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday (June 13). Much to the crowd’s delight, the duo teamed up during the event for a surprise duet.

Since Langley and Johnson have never recorded a song together, they turned to a nostalgic country classic. They delivered a reimagined version of “Whoever’s in New England.”

“Whoever’s in New England” was a #1 hit for Reba McEntire in 1986 and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Even today, 40 years after its release, it remains one of McEntire’s signature songs.

Johnson has been singing “Whoever’s in New England” for years. He shared a cover video on YouTube in 2020, and performed the song with McEntire herself at CMA Fest in 2023.

Langley happily stepped up to serve as Johnson’s duet partner at the Braves Country Fest, and she was more than capable of filling the role.

Standing across from one another on stage, Langley and Johnson launched into the beginning of what ended up being a remarkable performance. Langley, who wore a Braves jersey, jeans, shorts, and red boots, harmonized beautifully with Johnson, who wore a red button-down shirt, jeans, and his instantly recognizable cowboy hat.

The in-person crowd was thrilled by their performance, and several videos of the moment have already gained significant traction online.

Watch a couple of those videos below. The person who shared the second clip put it best when they said this was “the collab we never knew we needed!”

Cody Johnson And Ella Langley Were The Top Winners At The 2026 ACM Awards

Ella Langley and Cody Johnson have more in common than a love for timeless Reba McEntire tunes. They’re both recent ACM Award-winners!

Johnson won the ACM Awards for Male Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year at the ceremony on May 17. He dedicated the latter award to his friend and fellow nominee, Luke Combs, a move many fans considered classy.

Langley was the night’s biggest winner by far. She won every award she was up for and brought home a total of seven trophies. In doing so, she broke the record for the most ACM Awards won from a single ceremony.

The most prestigious prize Langley won was the Female Artist of the Year award. Langley was overcome with emotion as she stepped up to the microphone to deliver he speech. She used it to celebrate the other women in the category, and women in general, saying, “I would not be standing up here without… just the encouragement of so many women.”

She also thanked Jesus for helping her pursue her dreams. Revist her emotional speech in the video below.

One day, we hope to see Johnson and Langley onstage accepting an award for a song they recorded together!
