Ella Langley Was One Of The Most-Nominated Artists At The 61st ACM Awards

When nominees for the 2026 ACM Awards were announced in April, Ella Langley‘s name was near the top of the list.

Megan Moroney earned the most nominations, with 9, followed by Miranda Lambert with 8. Langley and Lainey Wilson came next, each with 7 nominations.

The fact that Langley received so many nods didn’t come as a surprise. She’s one of the biggest stars in all of music right now, thanks in large part to her multi-week #1 crossover hit “Choosin’ Texas.”

Plus, Langley’s latest album, Dandelion, is holding strong on the Billboard 200 chart. It held the #1 spot for two weeks, and has now been at #2 for the past two.

Langley already won big at the ACM Awards in 2025. She won New Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year.

Considering her star power and high number of nominations, it seemed like a no-brainer that Langley would perform during the ACM Awards this year. The ACM confirmed her addition to the performance lineup on May 1. However, they didn’t share which song she’d perform.

Finally, we learned the answer when Langley took to the stage during the ACM Awards on Sunday, May 17.

Much to everyone’s surprise, instead of singing “Choosin’ Texas,” Langley opted to perform her current single, “Be Her.”

But instead of singing the song the same as it is on the recording, Langley switched things up. She delivered a tender acoustic rendition of the song, switching up the melody in the process.

Plus, she performed in front of a beautiful image of a dandelion, representing the title of her most recent album.

Leave it to Ella Langley to deliver an unforgettable performance at the ACM Awards!
