Garth Brooks & Dolly Parton Are Hosting The 2023 ACM Awards

On March 29, the ACM revealed its hosts for their annual awards ceremony. This year, Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton will lead the charge as the co-hosts of the event.

This is Parton’s second consecutive year hosting the ACM Awards. She hosted last year with Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett. Previously, Parton hosted the ceremony solo in 2000.

Brooks has never hosted the ACM Awards before. He’s excited to learn from Parton as they prepare for the ceremony on May 11:

“I mean, you’ve got your foundation and what you’re looking for here,” Brooks said about his co-host during an interview with Billboard. “You’ve got talent and class. Let’s represent country music the best that we can.”

Likewise, Parton can’t wait to host the ceremony with Brooks, who is a good friend of hers:

“We’ve always admired each other musically and as people and how we handle our business,” she told Billboard. “So this is a great thrill for me. I think the fans are going to enjoy seeing us together, ‘cause Lord knows he’s got fans and I got a few.”

ACM Releases Hilarious New Promo Of Garth & Dolly Preparing For The Ceremony

On Tuesday (April 18), the ACM released a hilarious new promo clip with Brooks and Parton. The video shows the two co-hosts preparing for the upcoming awards ceremony.

Brooks pops into the dressing room, and Parton compliments him on how “handsome” he looks.

That’s when Brooks admits to being “a little nervous to be honest,” saying it was his “First time and all.”

Parton tries to encourage him, saying, “Oh don’t be nervous, I’m gonna be right here with you.”

Then things take a comical turn, as Brooks asks if she’s “done this before.” Parton comments, “plenty of times with plenty of people.”

Parton ups the ante when she enthusiastically tells Brooks she’s going to “make this the best night” of his life.

Feeling the need to clarify what they’re discussing, Brooks asks, “We’re talking about hosting the ACM award show right?” Parton’s response? “Well of course!“

Things get even more hilarious when Parton jokes “But if you have any problem just look at me…up here,” indicating to look at her eyes instead of her famous…assets.
