The Voice Season 24 is well underway and after two weeks of Blind Auditions, the teams are filling up fast. There’s been no shortage of country singers picked to move on in the competition, and Tuesday night’s episode (Oct. 3) gave us another singer to watch.

Grant Bias, whose stage name is simply BIAS, delivered a high-energy performance of former Voice coach Blake Shelton’s hit song “God’s Country.”

BIAS earned a chair turn from Reba McEntire and, in a not-so-surprising move, Blake’s wife Gwen Stefani. The ladies battled it out over the 23-year-old singer, with both heaping praise on him as they tried to convince him to join their team.

“I’m so glad I turned around to see the end of that. That was just crazy,” Gwen said. “I love your energy. I love your spirit….I think it’s just really exciting to meet a young country guy that has that much spark and energy. I would love to work with you. My name is Gwen Stefani! Wait, wait! My name is Gwen Shelton.”

Reba tried to woo BIAS by praising the crowd’s reaction to his performance, saying that she knew by the audience’s response that he was doing something great.

“You were kicking some major butt out here,” Reba told the singer before trying to bribe him with tater tots. “We have some great Reba tots over there that we go over there and eat after you say ‘I’m gonna be on Team Reba.'”

But, the tater tots weren’t enough to win BIAS over as he ultimately chose to join Team Gwen.

Gwen called the choice “a shocker” as she fully expected BIAS to choose Reba McEntire to be his coach. “Reba is the Queen of Country, but I feel like I have my eyes on the country world now. To have a country person on my team is really important to me. BIAS is really unique and I can’t wait to go home and tell Blake about this guy.”
