Gwen Stefani Smiles In 2018 Video As Blake Shelton Serenades Her With “Turnin’ Me On”

If there’s one thing we know about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani‘s relationship, it’s that they aren’t afraid to show off their love for one another. They often give each other shoutouts on social media, although Stefani is a little more active on Instagram than her country-singing beau is.

Shelton made up for it by having a photo of a young Stefani as his Twitter profile picture.

They often take their love to the stage by performing their duet “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” which appeared on Shelton’s 2016 album If I’m Honest. Although it was never released as a single, it reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Fast forward a couple years, and they seemed stronger than ever in late 2018. For his newest album at the time, Texoma Shore, he included a song called “Turnin’ Me On.” He maintained that he didn’t outright write the song for her, with co-writers Josh Osborne and Jessi Alexander, but he did sneak some semi-subtle lyrics in there just for her.

“I didn’t say I wrote the song about her then,” Blake said when Gwen heard the song. “I just said I wrote the song and then she figured it out. There’s a line that says ‘She’s Revlon red,’ because she’s the Revlon girl.”

While sitting on his tour bus, Shelton – who looked like he just came off stage – serenaded his love of three years with “Turnin’ Me On,” and she couldn’t help but smile!

“Pushing my buttons like it ain’t no thing / I’m what she wants, she gets what she wants the neon’s buzzing when she pulls that string,” he sang to her. “Turning me on like it’s her job / sometimes I think she must get off on turnin’ me on, turnin’ me on.”

The video kept cutting back and forth between Shelton singing and Stefani blushing. It really is too cute for words!
