Hulk Hogan’s Family Speaks Out Following His Death, “We Have Lost A Legend”

WWE Legend, Hulk Hogan, Dies At Age 71
Multiple outlets broke the news of Hulk Hogan’s death this morning (July 24). The WWE legend, born Terry Gene Bollea, is one of the most recognized wrestlers in the world. Among many other accolades, Hogan boasts 12 world championship titles.
According to sources, medics were called to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Florida, early this morning in response to a reported cardiac arrest. Shortly after, the 71-year-old was transported into an ambulance on a stretcher.
Clearwater Police Maj. Nate Burnside confirmed in a news conference Thursday afternoon that Hogan died at 11:17 a.m. local time. Additionally, he noted that there were no signs or suspicion of foul play.
Hogan had reportedly undergone multiple surgeries in recent months, including a neck surgery in May and a more recent heart surgery. However, this has not been confirmed.

The Bollea Family Issues Official Statement
A few hours later, Hulk Hogan’s family confirmed the tragic news with an official statement online. They wrote:
“It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend.
Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones.”
They asked that fans respect the privacy of his friends and family during this time of grief, and continued:
“May we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades. He will be missed, but never forgotten.”
Hogan leaves behind his wife, Sky, daughter, Brooke, and son, Nick.

WWE Remembers Hulk Hogan
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which inducted Hogan into their Hall of Fame in 2005, shared a statement online remembering the iconic athlete. They wrote:
“WWE is saddened to learn legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.
One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s.
WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

Nick Hogan’s Most Recent Instagram Post Honored Hulk On Father’s Day
Hulk Hogan’s 34-year-old son, Nick, is a DJ and music creator. Fans may recognize him from his appearances alongside his father, mother, and sister on the reality TV show Hogan Knows Best.
While Nick has not commented publicly on his father’s death, his last post online is from June 15th, where he celebrated his celebrity dad on Father’s Day. Along with an adorable throwback photo of a young Nick dressed up to match his dad’s iconic style, he wrote:
“Had a great Father’s Day with the goat! Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome dads! 💪💪”
