Keith Urban And Nicole Kidman’s Divorce Was Finalized In January 2026

In September 2025, rumors surfaced that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman had separated after 19 years of marriage.

The rumors were confirmed on September 30 when news broke that Kidman had filed for divorce. Their divorce was finalized just a few months later, in January 2026.

The couple had split long before their fans were aware. The paperwork shows that Urban signed their marital dissolution agreement on August 29. Kidman signed the document on September 6.

According to court documents, Kidman listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.

Neither party was ordered to pay alimony. Their real estate holdings were divided, falling in line with pre-established terms.

Kidman recently shared her first public comments about her divorce from Urban. She told Variety that she is doing alright, “because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good.”

She said she’s leaning on her family, especially her and Urban’s two daughters, Sunday and Faith:

“What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, We are a family, and thats what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.

Russell Dickerson Reveals What Keith Urban Has Been Like In Recent Months

Keith Urban, meanwhile, has only addressed his divorce indirectly.

When fans noticed a feisty lyric swap in his song “You’ll Think of Me” after the divorce, Urban felt the need to point out that he made that change years ago. He asked people to stop reading into his lyrics for messages that aren’t there.

Also, at one concert, Urban jokingly fell to the ground when a fan told him her name was Nicholle (pronounced like “Nicole”).

But that’s all we’ve heard from the “Raining on Sunday” singer on the matter so far. However, one of his fellow country artists recently shared some insight into his mindset over the past few months.

Russell Dickerson, who met up with Urban earlier this month (March) at the County 2 Country Festival, told Page Six he “seemed in good spirits.” Dickerson didn’t get to spend much time with Urban, but their interactions gave him some sense of Urban’s current mentality.

Dickerson continued to say:

“He’s always been focused on music, and so I think he’s just kind of doubling down on that, and it’s just beautiful. I can’t wait to hear what comes out of it.”

Urban has already hinted at what fans can expect from his next project. He told the crowd at Country 2 Country that he’s working on his first covers album, which will be full of “yacht rock” songs.

Hear that update from Urban below! No word yet on when his “yacht rock” album will be released, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out.
