Joanna Gaines is giving fans a look into her family’s vacation to the beautiful Colorado mountains.

The whole Gaines family recently packed their bags and headed to their mountain home in Colorado for a relaxing getaway. That includes Joanna, her husband Chip, and their five kids, Drake (21), Ella (19), Duke (18), Emmie (16), and Crew (8).

In a video posted on Instagram, the Magnolia founder shared some of the fun things her family did while they were away.

Her sons spent time sawing and chopping wood to build a tree fort. However, it seems her youngest son, Crew, really took the lead as the little handyman.

He’s seen in several clips hammering pieces together and helping his mom every step of the way.

The Gaines family also made the most of their trip by going to a rodeo, playing in a nearby creek where the girls hopped from rock to rock, and taking a family hike through the mountains.

The views look absolutely stunning!

“A few days in the mountains with the whole fam, makes this mama’s heart so happy,” Joanna wrote in the post’s caption. “Fishing, chopping down dead trees, making forts for the 🐿️ , crunchy french toast, rodeo, bikes, and family hikes. ❤️.”

Some fans may already recognize the place where the Gaines family stayed.

Last year, Chip and Joanna renovated the 1960s home in their three-part limited series, Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.

You can see before-and-after photos that Joanna posted below.

Even though Chip and Joanna share so much of their lives on TV, it’s actually pretty rare for fans to see their kids.

Over the years, they’ve mostly kept them out of the spotlight, and even when Joanna does record them, she makes sure their faces aren’t shown on camera.

Fans have still gotten to see some big family moments, though, like when her son Duke went to prom.

Joanna spent hours making bouquets and boutonnières for him and his friends.
