Country star Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer Pardi, are calling it quits after nearly six years of marriage.
Jon and Summer Pardi announced that they are divorcing.
In a joint statement posted to social media on Friday (June 3), the couple wrote:
“After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. Our daughters will always remain our highest priority, and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.”
The news of the split comes just days after Jon performed at Alan Jackson’s final full-length concert, Last Call: One More For The Road – The Finale. Pardi sang Jackson’s hit song “She’s Got The Rhythm (And I Got The Blues)” as part of an all-star lineup that paid tribute to the legend.
Pardi later appeared in the crowd with Luke Bryan, singing along as Alan performed the set of his biggest hits.
Just two nights later, Pardi appeared at the Grand Ole Opry, where he had the honor of inviting Rhett Akins to be the newest member of the hallowed institution.
Summer Pardi Reveals Dad’s Cancer Diagnosis
Hours before the news of her split from Jon was announced, Summer Pardi shared that her dad had recently been diagnosed with cancer.
Summer shared a post from her father on Instagram. In the post, her dad, Larry, wrote that a tractor accident led doctors to discover that he had multiple myeloma, a blood cancer that can weaken the bones. He is currently undergoing treatment.
Jon and Summer Pardi’s History
Jon and Summer, a hairstylist, first met in 2017 after being set up on a blind date by a friend of Jon’s mom, who also happened to be a client of Summer’s. Jon flew Summer to one of his shows at a country bar, something Summer was skeptical about.
“My girlfriends all convinced me I had nothing to lose,” she said. “So I flew out there with a girlfriend, just in case it went south.”
But Summer’s fears were put to rest as soon as she met Jon. Both said that they had an instant connection and that it was love at first sight.
The couple said “I do” on November 21, 2020, after nearly four years of dating. After being forced to cancel their destination wedding in Montana due to COVID restrictions, Jon and Summer chose to wed in a small, intimate ceremony in Murfreesboro.
The pair welcomed their first child, daughter Presley Fawn, in February 2023, and another daughter, Sienna Grace, in July 2024.
