Jon Pardi Performs His New Original Christmas Song “Beer For Santa”

The annual holiday show was scheduled for Thursday (Dec. 14) on ABC at 8 p.m. ET and was available for fans to watch the next day on Disney-Plus and Hulu.

CMA Country Christmas kicks off the holiday season each year with a night full of festive classics and amazing musical performances. Filmed in Nashville, Tennessee, the event airs on ABC every holiday season. Now in its 14th year, this year’s special was hosted by Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood and was packed with performances from some of the biggest Country Music stars today, including Jon Pardi!

Pardi recently dropped the music video for his original country Christmas song, “Beer For Santa” on Dec. 5. 

Creating a completely animated video, Pardi put a new spin on his country music video.

The entertaining music video was inspired by the song’s originality, Pardi expressed to CMT.

“I picked this song because it was just so fun when you heard it and wasn’t like anything I had heard before. Literally, wasn’t your typical Christmas cookie-cutter song and a fun one to dance to.”

Pardi talked about the decision to create an animated music video for the song.

He truly enjoyed how it turned out, too.

“It just feels old school and classic like how you used to watch Rudolph and the other holiday cartoons, but with a new and slightly more mature twist on it,” Pardi said. “Loved the video and how it turned out. This song is so fun to sing live…but this was a totally different way to experience it.”

Jon Pardi’s performance at CMA Country Christmas followed shortly after his recent induction into the Grand Ole Opry.

On October 24, Pardi became the 226th member of the Grand Ole Opry. Earlier this year, Alan Jackson had surprised Pardi during his performance at Stagecoach to officially invite him to become the newest member.

“The Grand Ole Opry has always meant a whole lot to me and everybody in country music. And I’ve been appreciating your music ever since you were touring with me a few years ago. So I get the honor to invite you in front of all your Stagecoach friends out there to be the first native of California to become an official member of the Grand Ole Opry,” Jackson said.

Pardi is certainly a talented and dynamic artist who has a genuine passion for the genre of country music.

Pardi’s CMA Country Christmas performance was lively and fun, just as you’d expect it to be. He looked like he was having a blast onstage!
