on Mar 18, 2024
The Jonas Brothers performed at RODEOHOUSTON on Friday (March 15) in a record-setting way.
The trio of brothers from New Jersey have set a new all-time paid stadium attendance record! RODEOHOUSTON’s official Instagram account revealed that a whopping 75,600 tickets were sold to watch the Jonas Brothers perform. On March 10, the record was set at 75,595 for Los Tigres del Norte.
The band played 17 of their hit songs from over the years, plus one unexpected cover that really got the crowd going!
They performed the iconic Garth Brooks song “Friends In Low Places.”
In the middle of their 18-song set, the Jonas Brothers mixed in a country classic that garnered loud cheers from the record-setting crowd after just the opening guitar riff!
“Blame it all on my roots,” Joe Jonas crooned as the audience of 75,600 got even louder. Nick Jonas took the next verse solo and then Joe and Kevin joined together for the chorus.
Despite what you may think of the Jonas Brothers, they sure know how to read a room, and pay tribute to the genre that is so popular in Texas! It’s clear from the fan reactions that their “Friends In Low Places” cover was a welcomed addition to their set!
Even though the Jonas Brothers are not country by any means, they brought the house down, and even some fans were impressed by them!
