Keith Whitley’s ‘When You Say Nothing At All’ Gets Remake From Love And Theft & Karen Waldrup

One of the most well-loved songs to come out of 1988 was Keith Whitley’s iconic “When You Say Nothing At All.”
While his version has stood the test of time, and remains one of his biggest hits, it was also a huge success for both Alison Krauss and Ronan Keating.
Over the last 30+ years, countless artists have put their own spin on the classic country tune, including duo Love and Theft.

While at the Buckin’ Wild Music Festival in Oklahoma City, the “Angel Eyes” hit makers sat down with up and coming country singer Karen Waldrup to perform Whitley’s iconic song.
You may recognize Waldrup from her mega-viral cover of LeAnn Womack’s “I Hope You Dance.”

The songstress kicked the classic country collaboration off with her heavenly soprano voice, with Stephen Barker Liles joining her for the lower harmony. Their performance was taken to the next level when Eric Gunderson came in and they began singing three-part harmony for the chorus.
Although all three are modern country singers, they sure know how to sing traditional country, and do it justice!
