Kelly Clarkson no longer wants to be Kelly Clarkson. Documents obtained by The Blast show that the American Idol champ wants to drop her famous last name and instead go by Kelly Brianne.

The Blast reports that Kelly filed the form on Valentine’s Day and shared that the reason she wanted to change her name was because “My new name more fully reflects who I am.”

The name change request comes just six months after the “Stronger” singer was allowed to legally drop her ex-husband’s last name, Blackstock, and her last name of Clarkson was restored.

Kelly Clarkson filed from divorce from her husband of seven years, Brandon Blackstock, in June 2020. Even though Clarkson was officially declared single five months ago, their divorce battle has continued. As previously reported, Kelly was ordered to give her ex $200,000 in child and spousal support as a temporary settlement until a final settlement is reached. According to court documents, Clarkson banks more than $1.5 million a month.

Documents filed in Los Angeles in January showed that Clarkson reportedly agreed to give Blackstock 5.12% of her Montana property, the equivalent of $908,800 of the property’s total value of $17,750, 000. Blackstock continued to live at Clarkson’s Montana ranch following their split, and in October Clarkson lost a legal battle that would have forced Blackstock to be evicted from the property.
