Kelly Clarkson Is Performing Her Studio Sessions Las Vegas Residency

Kelly Clarkson was supposed to kick off her Studio Sessions residency at Caesars Palace on July 4th, but just 90 minutes before showtime, she postponed the first two dates of her residency.

“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” she wrote on social media at 6:30 PM, prior to the 8PM show. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”

She continued, “The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible.   The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”

She was able to kick off her residency on July 11th, where she performed a powerful rendition of “I Will Always Love You.”

Clarkson also performed an updated version of her song “Piece By Piece,” where she made it into more of an empowering anthem than a song about her ex-husband, Brandons Blackstock, whom she split from in 2020.

Kelly’s Daughter, River Rose, Joined Her On Stage On July 18

A few songs into her set list on Friday, July 19th, Clarkson brought out a very special, surprise guest – her 11-year-old daughter, River Rose!

River’s favorite song of her mom’s is “Heartbeat Song,” so she came out to sing it with her famous mom. And the best part is, they were wearing similar outfits!

River looked a little nervous as she sang, but her proud mama just kept looking at her, reassuring her that she was doing a great job.

Towards the end, Clarkson was only looking at River, and even touched their foreheads together, which put the biggest smile on River’s face. Watch their awesome duet below.

Kelly Has Brought Out Her Kids On Stage Before

Clarkson enjoys letting her kids shine, whether it be on stage at her shows or on her talk show. In 2023, River came out on stage at her mom’s previous Las Vegas Residency to perform “Heartbeat Song,” proving that the song has resonated with River for years.

During the same residency, her son, Remington, joined her on stage to show off some off his dance moves!

In 2024, Remy sang for his mom’s talk show audience before the taping and it was so good that Clarkson shared a clip of it during that episode. About a month later, they released the full version and it took the Internet by storm. People could not get over the confidence and articulation that young Remy had!

We love that Kelly lets her kids shine and helps build up their confidence anyway she can! Watch one of River’s first appearances with her talented mama, the music video for the song “Broken and Beautiful,” below.
