Kelly Clarkson’s Reaction To Carrie Underwood’s Surprise Gift Is Absolutely Precious

Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are two singers that will always be linked to each other. That’s because they both started their careers in the same way…they won American Idol.

Clarkson was the famous competition series’ first winner, while Underwood was crowned the champ of the fourth season. Even after all these years, the two remain some of the most successful artists the show has ever produced.

Because of their shared history, Underwood and Clarkson are good friends. The two of them even stepped up to defend one another when a Twitter poll seemed to pit them against each other.

As you may or may not know, Underwood has her own line of fitness apparel, called CALIA by Carrie. To celebrate the line’s third birthday in 2018, Underwood decided to send Clarkson a special gift as a surprise.

Clarkson filmed herself opening the gift, which she said she was sent a while prior to her opening it since it was at the Starstruck Entertainment office (Starstruck Entertainment is the company that manages Clarkson).

Even though Clarkson had already taken all of the gifts out of the box, she wanted everyone else to appreciate just how cute the packaging was. Her reaction to opening the gift was too precious!

“Carrie Underwood, this is adorable,” she said, pointing to the still-unopened box at that point.

As she took the lid off of the box, Clarkson revealed that the inside was stacked with tiny boxes to resemble the shape of a cake. “Who came up with this?” she asked. “That’s adorable.”

As you hear Clarkson say at the end, she actually lost weight since Underwood sent her the package. Because of this, she said all of the clothes she sent were actually too big for her!

But don’t worry, they’ll go to good use. Clarkson promised she’d give them to others would appreciate the sweet gifts.

From the sounds of it though, no one got the socks or the fanny pack Underwood sent. Those were Clarkson’s favorites!

It warms our heart to see Clarkson and Underwood’s affection for each other. They’ve admired one another for years, as you can tell from Clarkson’s remarkable 2011 cover of Underwood’s song “I Know You Won’t” in the video below.
