Lainey Wilson Joins Leanne Morgan’s Hit Comedy “Leanne” – See Her In Season 2

Fans just got a new sneak peek at Lainey Wilson’s latest acting gig.
Earlier this summer, it was revealed that the country music singer would be one of the newest stars joining Season 2 of the Netflix show Leanne.
Leanne was created by comedian Leanne Morgan, Susan McMartin, and Chuck Lorre. It premiered in July 2025 and quickly became a hit for the streaming service. The show landed in the global Top 10 for English-language series after its debut.
The Emmy-nominated sitcom follows Morgan’s character, whose life “turned upside down when her husband of 33 years unexpectedly leaves her for another woman,” per a Netflix synopsis.
After the success of Season 1, Netflix announced that Leanne would be renewed for a Season 2.
Ahead of the new episodes, an official trailer was released. Fans got a look at the chaos in store for Leanne, including her coming to terms with turning 60, getting back into the dating world, and adjusting to a new chapter as her elderly parents move in with her.
The teaser was also the first time fans got to see Wilson’s character in action.

If you’ve been following the “4X4XU” singer, you know she’s been dipping her toes into acting over the past few years.
She made her acting debut in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone as a musician named Abby. Later, she landed a role in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him.
Now, she’s stepping into comedy for the first time, and fans are finally getting a better idea of what to expect from Wilson’s new character.
Wilson will appear in Episode #209, playing Jessie, who is Leanne’s cousin.
In a new clip shared by Netflix, fans get to see Wilson make her entrance when Jessie stops by to visit Leanne after breaking up with her ex-boyfriend, Mike. She’s looking for a shoulder to cry on and hoping her cousin can give her the motherly advice she desperately needs.
Right now, it’s unclear how many episodes Wilson will appear in or how big of a role Jessie will have.
Fans are counting down the days until the new episodes air. Many of them left comments on the video, barely able to contain their excitement.
