Will Lainey Wilson & Ian Bohen Reprise Their “Yellowstone” Roles In “Dutton Ranch” Season 2?

Fans could see even more Yellowstone characters cross over to Dutton Ranch as the show continues.
At least that’s what Ian Bohen thinks. The actor recently spoke with Us Weekly about the possibility of reprising his role as Ryan in the new Taylor Sheridan series.
“It would be interesting to see where Abby and Ryan are within that world,” he told the outlet.
If you were a dedicated Yellowstone viewer, you know Ryan and Abby became a couple fans were rooting for.
Country superstar Lainey Wilson made her acting debut on the show as Abby. Just like Wilson in real life, Abby was a musician, and Ryan worked as part of the Dutton Ranch crew.
The last time fans saw the couple was during the show’s series finale in 2024. Their story concluded with Ryan trying to make things right with Abby, telling her he was willing to leave his work behind and put his personal life first for a change.
The two eventually reconciled, and Ryan decided to join Abby on the road while she was on tour instead of working another ranching job.
Because their fate was left very open-ended, it would be easy for Sheridan to bring the two characters back at some point if he wanted to.
Bohen says he would love to see that happen if the opportunity ever came up.
“They got one season under their belt and they’re figuring out their future and their arc for the next several seasons,” he adds. “Maybe there’ll be a spot for those two people to show up and contribute. That’d be great.”
Wilson hasn’t publicly said if she’s willing to return as Abby again, but it’s probably safe to assume she’d be open to it. She’s spoken before about how grateful she is for Yellowstone, even saying the show helped launch her music career.

Season 1 of Dutton Ranch came to an end on July 3, and it left off with a shocking death and a major cliffhanger. Now, fans have so many questions about what will happen next.

Thankfully, fans know for a fact that Beth and Rip’s story will continue because the show has been renewed for a second season. There’s currently no release date yet, and filming hasn’t started.
However, it’s likely that fans can expect the new episodes to drop sometime in early 2027.
