New Music Is On The Way From Lainey Wilson
It has been eight months since country music powerhouse Lainey Wilson released her last single, “Somewhere Over Laredo.” The ethereal tune was the most-added song at country radio upon its release. It reached the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart in early December 2025, becoming Wilson’s fifth number-one single.

A mysterious social media post made today (January 30) reveals that fans may not have to wait much longer for new music from Lainey Wilson. The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year shared a black and white video teasing a new song seemingly titled “Can’t Sit Still.”
However, the video contained no audio. The caption directed fans to cantsitstill.com, a landing page where they can unlock an audio clip of the new song. See Lainey Wilson’s post teasing the new song below!

Lainey Wilson Is Headed To Netflix
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the “Bell Bottom Country” singer is teaming up with Netflix for a new documentary titled Keepin’ Country Cool. The film will premiere globally on Wednesday, April 22. Wilson said in a statement to Deadline:
“I couldn’t be more excited that this documentary is going to be on Netflix. This was such a special project to make, and I hope that folks who watch it see that no dream is too big and that staying true to who you are will always lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.”
The new documentary will be directed by Amy Scott. Producers of the film include Angus Wall, Terry Leonard, Kent Kubena, Thomas Tull, Jillian Share, Jason Owen, and Jen Gorton. Mandelyn Monchick, Josh Miller, Katie Admire, Jillian Apfelbaum, and Nicolas Gordon serve as executive producers.

Unlike her 2024 Hulu special, Keepin’ Country Cool will focus on Wilson’s life behind the music. The project will give a rare look into the personal struggles and triumphs she has faced throughout her career so far, all while maintaiing a demanding tour schedule. Director Adam Scott shared:
“What began as a fever dream project became an intimate journey with one of the most dynamic and fascinating artists of today. Lainey’s story is deeply personal, wildly inspiring, and rooted in authenticity, and I can’t imagine a better platform to share it with the world.”
