Lainey Wilson Reunites With Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders For Pregame Dance
on

Two years after she performed the Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show, Lainey Wilson has reunited with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
On Thursday, October 8th, country superstar made a guest appearance at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Buccaneers game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Two years ago, the Louisiana native kicked off the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign with an exciting NFL Halftime performance during the annual Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day football game. The festive tradition has been a staple each year since it began in 1997.
Fun fact: Reba McEntire was the first artist to perform for the event.
This week, in a sideline interview, Lainey reflected on that performance and told the Dallas Morning News:
“To join the Cowboy Cheerleaders two years ago and be part of The Red Kettle Kickoff for The Salvation Army was really special because it’s crazy what the Cowboys do for people in need.”

Lainey has performed on some of the largest stages around the world, yet she described the holiday performance as a “special moment” in her career. She explained:
“When you’re performing in front of more than 90,000 people, to me, the more the merrier! It’s like I was made for the bigger crowds than the small ones, and so it was a big stepping stone for me. And being with America’s Sweethearts made it even more special.”
Knowing very well the pressure that being in the spotlight can bring, Lainey commended the DCC members for their poise and presence. She shared:
“I appreciate the ladies on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders for the confidence they carry. These girls keep their heads high and their shoulders back, and they have a presence when they walk into the room. Girl power!”
Why Lainey Wilson Danced With The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
Before kickoff on Thursday, Lainey joined members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to show off some dance moves. Together, they recreated the singer’s viral dance to her recent single “Phone, Keys, Wallet.”
The appearance was intended to promote an upcoming live-streaming event this Thursday, October 15th, during Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video. Lainey confirmed:
“Thursday (Oct. 15) after the game you can tune into Amazon Music Live and watch our show. I’m going to be performing my new song (“Kinda Love It”) that actually came out tonight. It will be performed in a show for the very first time, so I’m excited about that and I invite everyone to tune in.”
