Lauren Alaina Releases Fun New Duet With Lainey Wilson Called “Thicc As Thieves”

Lauren Alaina‘s new EP Unlocked features a duet with Lainey Wilson. The song is titled “Thicc As Thieves,” and has the ladies singing about their good “jeans” (and what’s in them).

As the lyrics go:

“We’re thicker than our accents, thicker than our hair. Thicker than the Georgia and Louisiana air. Thicker than molasses from the patches to the seams. Stealing hearts is in our jeans. Us southern girls, we’re thicc as thieves.”

“Thicc As Thieves” samples another song about country girls flaunting what they’ve got…Luke Bryan‘s 2011 hit “Country Girl (Shake It for Me).” Alaina got Bryan’s “blessing” to feature “Country Girl” in her and Wilson’s duet.

Bryan shared his feelings about the song at CMA Fest. He said:

“My biggest thing is, this is a fun song for them. ‘Country Girl (Shake It for Me)’ was a fun song for me. It was a fun song for the country girls out there that were shaking it. And their song is a fun song for the girls that got a little somethin’ to shake.”

Alaina and Wilson had a fun time “shaking it” to their duet backstage at CMA Fest. The duo posted a video of themselves doing a line dance set to “Thicc As Thieves,” and it looks like a blast!

“Celebrating #thiccthursday today with all my peaches out there!” Alaina wrote on Instagram. “Use this sound with your partner in crime & get to dancing.”
