Lee Brice & Carly Pearce Belt “I Hope You’re Happy Now” From ACM Stage

The hitmaking collaboration between these two profound country voices has yet again swept across the stage at an awards show followed by endless applause.

Carly Pearce and Lee Brice’s thundering country duet “I Hope You’re Happy Now” first hit radio waves in October 2019, but unbeknownst to them, would continue to be a heavy rotation track for the next 18 months or more!

Written by Pearce, Luke Combs, Randy Montana, and Jonathan Singleton, it was clearly a hit from the very get-go…but the transcendent harmonies of Pearce and Brice really sealed the deal.

Already winners tonight, the pair have taken home one of the top honors with the award for Single of the Year – a tribute to the fantastic work they put into this song…and an honor for the late busbee who worked on this as one of his final projects with Carly.

The song struck the No. 1 chart position in the United States and abroad while taking home No. 6 on Billboard’s US Country Airplay Year-End chart for 2020. That same year, Pearce and Brice were set to take the stage at the CMA Awards and perform the hit for the first time since the pandemic started. Unfortunately, Brice had contracted COVID before the show. Luckily, the immensely talented Charles Kelley stepped in to take his place for that performance and it went off perfectly!
