LIST: All Of Gretchen Wilson’s Performances As Pearl On “Masked Singer”

Season 13 of The Masked Singer Had Some Of The Best Talent Yet

Ever since The Masked Singer premiered in 2019, it became one of the most popular shows week after week. The combination of a singing competition paired with mystery celebrity contestants and a hilarious panel of judges/guessers, it’s no wonder this show is already in its 13th season.

Season 13 broke up its 15 singers into three different groups: A, B, and C. Group A performed in the first three episodes, followed by three episodes of Group B, and three episodes of Group C. Two singers per group advanced to the playoffs, and eventually widdled down to four for the finale. The winner was crowned on Wednesday (May 7).

Boogie Woogie, Coral, Pearl, and Mad Scientist Monster were the four finalists this season.

After all was said and done, Pearl was crown the champion of Season 13! After winning the show, it was finally time to unmask her, and she was none other than Grammy Award-winning singer Gretchen Wilson!

To celebrate the “Redneck Woman” singer’s awesome win, let’s take a look back at all of Wilson’s performances as Pearl.

Week 4 – Group B Premiere: “Saving All My Love For You” by Whitney Houston

To kick off her time on The Masked Singer, Pearl took on the powerful Whitney Houston ballad and knocked everyone’s socks off. Fans called her gutsy for attempting any Whitney Houston song, but she really did nail it!

Week 5 (Ghostbusters Night) – “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” by Blue Öyster Cult

Fans praised her for showing off more of her range with this Blue Öyster Cult cover. It was enough to push her through to the next round!

Week 6 (Group B Group Performance) – “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” by Big & Rich

Group B saddled up for a rockin’ performance for Grand Ole Opry Night to Big & Rich’s hit song. Of course, she took the reigns and gave a stellar performance!

Week 6 (Grand Ole Opry Night) – “Here You Come Again” by Dolly Parton

It made perfect sense for Gretchen Wilson to cover Dolly Parton during Grand Ole Opry night! The two have performed together, and Parton event let Wilson borrow her pants for the CMA Awards opening in 2019.

Week 10 (Playoffs) – “Conga” by Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine

Wilson really switched it up for the group playoffs! She proved her powerhouse vocals once again with a song outside of her comfort zone, proving that she is in it to win it.

Week 11 (Quarterfinals Group Performance) – “More Than A Feeling” by Boston

To kick off the quarterfinals, the Top 5 masked singers performed together, and we gotta say, Gretchen Wilson really stood out in this number!

Week 11 (Quarterfinals) – “Your Love” by The Outfield

“Your Love” was the perfect choice for the “Redneck Woman” singer, who got to show off her rock influences.

Week 12 (Semifinals Group Performance) – “HandClap” by Fitz and the Tantrums

The fact that this performance was so far out of her genre made it extra impressive that she nailed it!

Semifinals – “You Don’t Own Me” by Lesley Gore

Wilson performed a more sultry song for the semifinals, and it definitely paid off! It helped launched her into the finals!

Finale (Group Performance) – “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan

Never in my life did I ever think I’d see Gretchen Wilson singing a Chappell Roan song, but both woman are all about girl power, so it honestly makes sense!

Finals – “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” by KT Tunstall

Wilson all but won the show after this performance!

Finals – “I’ll Stand By You” by The Pretenders

If her performance of “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” didn’t win her the show, this performance definitely did. It showed her softer side, but Wilson was able to bring her natural power as well!

Based on all these performances, it comes as no surprise why Gretchen Wilson won The Masked Singer.
