Revisiting Some Of The Best Country Music Collaborations From 2024

2024 was a prime year for country music collaborations. Many of these collaborations topped the charts, won awards, or received Platinum certifications.

From Post Malone’s many hits on his F-1 Trillion album, to new meetups between superstars such as Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood—this was the year of top-notch country collaborations.

Here Are 2024’s Outstanding Country Music Collaborations

“You Look Like You Love Me” – Ella Langley And Riley Green

Millions of country music fans fell in love with Ella Langley and Riley Green’s romantic duet this year. That duet, “You Look Like You Love Me,” dropped on June 21.

The song peaked at the #1 spot on the Country Airplay chart, making Langley the first female artist to top the chart in 51 weeks. It also won this year’s CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year.

“I’m Gonna Love You” – Cody Johnson And Carrie Underwood

Country music superstars Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood united this year to release the passionate love song “I’m Gonna Love You.” The song debuted on September 27.

So far, “I’m Gonna Love You” has reached the 19th spot on the Country Airplay chart and the 11th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Fans got the first chance to watch the pair perform the song live at the 2024 CMA Awards in November. Underwood made a surprise appearance to join Johnson onstage during the ceremony.

“I Had Some Help” – Post Malone And Morgan Wallen

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” was one of the top songs released in 2024—not just in country music but all genres. It reached #1 on both of the Billboard country charts and the all-genre Hot 100 chart.

The track was also named Billboard’s “Song of the Summer” for 2024. Wallen’s single “Last Night” was the “Song of the Summer” in 2023. So this year, he became the first artist since 1978 to have the “Song of the Summer” in back-to-back years.

“I Had Some Help” has been certified 5× Platinum since its release in May and is close to reaching 900,000 streams on Spotify.

“Believe” – Brooks & Dunn And Jelly Roll

Brooks & Dunn released a new album, Reboot II, in November. The duo created the album by reimagining their greatest hits with some of modern country music’s biggest stars.

Jelly Roll joined the pair to re-record their faith-based song, “Believe.” They joined forces to perform the track at the 2024 CMA Awards and brought many people to tears.

After the CMA Awards, Brooks & Dunn and Jelly Roll’s “Believe” remake ranked at the #1 spot on the country and all-genre iTunes charts.

“Go Home W U” – Keith Urban And Lainey Wilson

Keith Urban and Lainey Wilson released their collaboration “Go Home W U” in May. They performed the song live for the first time at CMA Fest in June. The duo’s official music video features footage from that performance.

“Go Home W U” was not released as an official single in the U.S., but it was a single in Australia, where Urban is from. The track reached the #1 spot on the country chart there.

Meanwhile, “Go Home W U” claimed the seventh spot on the Country Digitial Song Sales chart in the U.S.

“I Don’t Know How To Say Goodbye” – Dwight Yoakam And Post Malone

Dwight Yoakam enlisted his longtime friend, Post Malone, to record a track for his new album, Brighter Days. The song, “I Don’t Know How to Say Goodbye (Bang Bang Boom Boom),” dropped in September, while Yoakam’s album debuted in November.

Yoakam and Post Malone also filmed a lively music video to accompany their duet. The video features actresses Nina Dobrev and Malin Akerman. Over 677,000 people have watched the video since it premiered in October.

“I Remember Everything” – Zach Bryan And Kacey Musgraves

Zach Bryan released his “I Remember Everything” collaboration with Kacey Musgraves in September of last year (2023). But the song rose to prominence in 2024, as it reached the #1 spot on both the Hot Country Songs chart and the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

“I Remember Everything” won the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 2024 Grammys. It was also nominated for Music Event of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards.

The song has been certified 2× Platinum by the RIAA and is close to surpassing 930,000 streams on Spotify.

“Good Horses” – Miranda Lambert And Lainey Wilson

Two of country music’s greatest female artists united for a captivating collaboration in 2024. Lainey Wilson recorded the song “Good Horses” with Miranda Lambert for her latest album, Whirlwind, which debuted in August.

“Good Horses” was featured as the third track (and only collaboration) on Whirlwind. Although the song hasn’t been released as an official single yet, it is still a fan favorite.

“Pour Me A Drink” – Post Malone And Blake Shelton

“Pour Me a Drink” was another song featured on Post Malone’s debut country album F-1 Trillion. He recorded the track with Blake Shelton, who’s since given Post Malone credit for reigniting his passion for recording new music.

“Pour Me a Drink” was released as a single in June. It reached the #1 spot on the Country Airplay chart and claimed the 13th position on the all-genre Hot 100 chart. The track has since been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Shelton and Post Malone also performed “Pour Me a Drink” at CMA Fest this year.

“Neon Moon” – Brooks & Dunn And Morgan Wallen

Brooks & Dunn remade “Neon Moon” with Morgan Wallen for their Reboot II album this year. Wallen had performed the song live with Brooks & Dunn in the past, so it only seemed right for them to record the track in the studio.

Their new version of “Neon Moon” has climbed to the 24th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart and has nearly nine million streams on Spotify.

“Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame” – George Strait And Chris Stapleton

Longtime tourmates George Strait and Chris Stapleton teamed up to release a new country music collaboration in 2024. They debuted the song, “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame,” during a show at Lucas Oil Stadium in May.

“Honky Tonk Hall of Fame” was featured as the eighth track (and only collaboration) on Strait’s latest album, Cowboys and Dreamers.

“Sunday In The South” – Shenandoah, Jason Aldean, And Luke Bryan

Shenandoah originally released “Sunday In the South” in 1989. The track reached the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart then.

In September, the legendary country group reimagined the track with two Southern boys, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. Their collaboration was an instant hit with fans, who made it the #1 song on the country and all-genre iTunes charts.

The singers united to film a music video for their remake, and it premeired on December 4. The clip already has over 2.8 million views.

It’s clear that 2024 was a great year for country music collaborations!
