Dolly Parton‘s final business venture before her death, The SongTeller Hotel, has officially opened its doors.
The country music icon first announced plans for the hotel on June 6, 2024, during CMA Fest. Two years later, the one-of-a-kind hotel stands as a shining beacon (literally) in the heart of downtown Nashville.
Developed in partnership with Herschend, the world’s largest family-held themed attractions company, the project was “Dolly’s love letter to Nashville,” a city that played such a large role in her life and career. The website confirms that the property:
“Features 240 signature rooms and suites, complemented by elevated dining, SongTeller Café, live entertainment, and immersive experiences inspired by Dolly’s life and artistry.”

Prior to her passing, Dolly was heavily involved in every detail of the hotel, from initial site prospecting to design and finishing. Shannon Foster, General Manager of Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, shared during the grand opening on October 6th:
“To open these doors and share her story with guests from around the world is an incredible privilege, and we hope every guest leaves with a memory, a song or a story of their own that they carry with them long after their stay.”
Reservations for the SongTeller Hotel can be made here.

Dolly’s Life Of Many Colors Museum
The third floor of the SongTeller Hotel houses priceless belongings from Dolly’s life, carefully curated into a 20,000-square-foot Life Of Many Colors Museum. The immersive experience takes guests on a journey through Dolly’s life, combining personal stories with rarely seen items from her own collection.
Items include custom made gowns and stage attire, awards and trophies, original record contracts and songwriting transcripts, and more. Rebecca Seaver, Dolly’s niece and Executive Director of Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, shared:
“Bringing this vision to life was not easy. It took countless hours, hard decisions, loss and a great deal of heart to get every detail right. But it has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life, and it has deepened my appreciation for the story of a little girl who went from the top of the Smokies to the top of the world.”

One particularly special element of the museum is Dolly’s wedding dress, which was lost for more than 50 years. She married Carl Dean on May 30, 1966. Later that day, she changed out of her simple wedding dress to go to the recording studio and placed it in a grocery bag.
For decades, Dolly believed it to be lost. The dress and wedding veil were recently discovered by Rebecca in a trunk belonging to Carl Dean while she was sorting through Dolly’s archives in preparation for the museum.
Tickets for the Life of Many Colors Museum can be purchased here.
