Luke Bryan Honors Late Brother With Emotional New Song

Country star Luke Bryan is ready to open up about his family’s healing process following a season of grief and tragedy.

In an interview with People, Bryan opened up about his past and foreshadowed further exploration in the new docu-series Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary. Now, the singer has coined the song that will be the heart of the new series.

When the country singer was 19, he lost his older brother, Chris, in a car accident. Bryan’s track “Songs You Never Heard” recalls his time with his late brother. The singer reminisces about the music that he would listen to with his brother, and Bryan imagines how Chris would sing to country music if he were here today.

His brother’s death is just one of the topics that Bryan candidly discusses in his docu-series. According to Bryan, he hopes to inspire or help other people who have suffered a similar loss. Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary is free to stream on IMDb TV beginning August 6.
