McDonald’s Chicken Nugget Going For $51k On eBay

An eBay seller is on the path to making a fortune and breaking a new record for the most expensive McDonald’s chicken nugget ever sold. At press time, it’s currently going for a lump sum of $51,200.

“Do note: This food product has an average expiration of about 14 days and will be delivered prior to expiration,” the seller wrote on eBay.

The nugget originated from one of McDonald’s newly-launched BTS Meal which includes 10 Chicken McNuggets, a medium fry, and a medium Coke, as well as sweet chili and Cajun dipping sauces. For those who don’t know, BTS is a popular K-Pop boy band.

Until it’s delivered, the seller says they are keeping it as fresh as possible for the buyer.

“Item will be Frozen and then Air sealed to ensure freshness with secure shipping method,” the seller said.

Not only is the nugget from the newly-launched BTS Meal, but it’s also shaped in the form of a character off of the very popular game Among Us.

Among Us is a popular, space-themed multiplayer game where players are either Crewmates or Imposters. The goal of the Crewmates is to eliminate all Imposters and the goal of the Imposters is to kill all the Crewmates before they find out he’s an Imposter.

The two topics’ high popularity is certainly a good assumption for why it must be going for so much. With over 159 bids been placed by passionate fans who are clearly willing to fork up a lot of money for the nugget, it appears it will be sold for tens of thousands when it’s all said and done.

The seller jokingly added, “Xbox’s Twitter replied to the official Among us twitter that had posted about it and mentioned that it had better come with szechuan sauce if it sells for this price.. Jokes on them.. I have Szechuan and at buyers request will ship some with the nugget.”
