Blake Shelton’s Wife Gwen Stefani Has Three Sons, Making Him A Proud Stepdad

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani started dating in 2015. The two fell in love after divorcing their prior spouses earlier in the year.

Blake has no children of his own. But Gwen shares three sons with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Their names are Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

The boys were nine, seven, and one when Blake and Gwen started dating. So Blake has been present for a large part of their lives.

Blake Once Spoke About The Importance Of Being A Stepdad

Blake became the boys’ stepdad when he and Gwen married in Oklahoma on July 3, 2021. Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo all attended the wedding.

Their names, along with Gwen and Blake’s, were embroidered along the edge of Gwen’s wedding veil.

Blake’s own father was a stepdad to Blake’s older brother, Richie. He set a great example for Blake, who shared his feelings about being a stepdad at the 2022 Country Radio Seminar.

“You got three boys? Awesome! My dad did it,” Blake recalled telling Gwen. “My dad raised me. I could do this. I didn’t know what I was signing up for, but I was all about signing up for it. And every day I’ve fallen in love with the boys as much as I do with Gwen.”

In fact, Blake’s choice to leave The Voice after 23 seasons was largely so he could spend more time at home with Gwen and his stepsons:

“Even though I’m a stepparent, I take that job very seriously,” he told PEOPLE. “The kids see me as a very important person in their life. [When they ask,] ‘Why isn’t Blake here?’ I take that stuff to heart. I’ve made plenty of money, but you can’t buy time back. I don’t want any regrets.”

Kingston and Zuma also made a brief appearance in Blake’s music video for “I’ll Name the Dogs.” He released the romantic song in 2017 and it reached the #1 spot on the Country Airplay chart.

Hear Blake Shelton’s Stepson Kingston Sing At Blake’s Ole Red Bar & Restaurant In Tishomingo, Oklahoma

More recently, Blake’s stepson Kingston made his singing debut at Blake’s Ole Red bar and restaurant in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Kingston confidently performed a song for everyone in the venue while Blake and Gwen watched off to the side.

After Kingston finished singing, Blake rushed up onstage to give him a congratulatory hug. He was so proud!
