Mega Gator Cannibalizes A 6-Foot Alligator In Gruesome Video

Sounds like a story from Florida? Well, think again – this is not news from the Sunshine State…
Twitter was ablaze with comments and re-tweets after a video from Taylor Soper showed one truly huge alligator snacking on one of his own kind.
According to WTSP News 10 Tampa Bay, the video’s perspective doesn’t quite tell the full story. They spoke with Soper about the footage he captured and he stated the alligator being eaten was actually six feet long or more.
The incident was captured in the backyard of Soper’s parent’s house in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. All that could be seen was the huge predatory gator with 1/3 of the smaller one hanging out of his mouth – and then a few big gulps and down the hatch it went!
Soper told WTSP that he’s seen this kind of gator-on-gator snacking previously – and involving one of the gators that were seen in this video, no less!
“We saw the one getting eaten in the video eat a smaller one last weekend…so kind of just wild.”
