“American Pickers” Star Mike Wolfe Devastated Over Dog’s Death In “Tragic Accident”
on Jul 24, 2026

Mike Wolfe is mourning the loss of his beloved dog, Francie Joe.
The American Pickers star shared the heartbreaking news on Wednesday (July 22nd) that Francie Joe had died in a “tragic accident I feel very much responsible for.” Wolfe did not go into any further detail about the accident.
Wolfe shared his devastation over Francie’s death, writing:
“My heart is shattered in a thousand pieces. I never got to say good bye or comfort her when she needed me most.”
As his post continued, Wolfe illustrated how much Francie meant to him. He described her as a great listener, a patient soul, and a giver of unconditional love.
“We traveled and explored this beautiful country of ours together,” Wolfe said. “Her big brown eyes loving so many hearts and spreading so much joy. She was family she was everything I ever dreamed of in a dog.”
Wolfe said he’s been struggling to make sense of why Francie was “pulled from this world too soon.” In the midst of his grief, he’s concluded that all he can do is remember what she taught him and live his life in a way that would hopefully make her proud.
Alongside his post, Wolfe shared several pictures of Francie through the years. You can flip through those photos in the carousel below.
Francie Joe seemed like such a sweet pup. It’s clear she was deeply loved by Mike Wolfe and the other people in her life.
