Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, attended MTV’s Video Music Awards.

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) took place Wednesday night (September 11) at UBS Arena in New York City. Hosted by Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, the VMAs are known for being fan-voted. The show also brings out music’s biggest stars for performances and other viral moments.

The VMAs have Latin, rock, alternative, hip hop, K-pop, afro beats, and rap categories, making the show’s performers and fans pretty diverse in musical taste. Although there are no country categories, one country star did make waves by attending.

Miranda Lambert surprised everyone when she walked the red carpet alongside her husband, former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin.

They both wore black suits, but Lambert chose to be daring without a shirt and instead rocked a turquoise bedazzled bra that matched the accents on her lapel.

“My first rodeo at @vmas,” she captioned her social media post. “Postcards from Texas is out at midnight tomorrow y’all!”

She shared more photos from the evening, including one with her “new bestie,” Busta Rhymes.

Miranda is prepping for the upcoming release of her album Postcards from Texas.

Postcards from Texas, Lambert’s first release with her new record label, Republic Records, will be released on Friday, September 13. It will include the single “Wranglers,” which Lambert released back in May.

She also released the song “Dammit Randy” and “Alimony.” Brendan served as a co-writer of “Dammit Randy” and contributed some of Lambert’s favorite lyrics in the song!
