Miranda Lambert releases the music video for her latest single, “Wranglers”

Miranda Lambert’s latest single, “Wranglers,” tells a fiery tale of a woman scorned. She performed the song for the first time at California’s Stagecoach Festival in April and then again for a nationally televised audience at the ACM Awards last month.

“Wranglers” is the first release with Lambert’s new records label, Republic Records, and it is expected to be the lead single off of her forthcoming album Palomino. Upon its release, the award-winning country star shared:

“I think we can all identify with the character in this song because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us…”

Miranda Lambert incorporates details from her breakout single “Kerosene” into her latest music video

Fans who have been around since the start of Miranda Lambert’s career may notice some familiar sights in the new “Wranglers” music video. The new release features the same can of kerosene and the same book of matches used in the music video for “Kerosene,” released nearly 20 years ago in 2005.

In a teaser social media post, the Texas-native hinted, “Same tools. New fire. 🔥Revisit the “Kerosene” video below! 

The “Wranglers” music video was directed by Lambert’s longtime collaborator Trey Fanjoy, and tells the story of a group of women who have a ceremonial breakup bonfire using the belongings of an ex-boyfriend as fuel.

Lambert further paid tribute to her past hits by featuring her childhood friend Laci and actress Elle Lamont, who both previously appeared in the video for her 2022 song, “If I Was a Cowboy.”
