53-Year-Old Missouri Woman Charged In Connection To Alleged Scheme To Steal Graceland & Scam Elvis Presley’s Family

A Missouri woman connected to the alleged plot to steal Elvis Presley’s Graceland was arrested on Friday (August 16). Coincidentally, the arrest occurred on the 47th anniversary of Elvis’ death.

News of the scam first broke in May. A company called Naussany Investments filed a claim in court that Elvis’ daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, owed them millions in unpaid loans. Lisa Marie died in 2023.

Naussany Investments claimed that Lisa Marie used Graceland as collateral for a $3.8 million loan. The company said she never paid the loan off before she died, so Graceland would be foreclosed and auctioned off to the public.

Lisa Marie’s oldest daughter, Riley Keough, quickly took legal action and filed a lawsuit, dismissing Naussany Investments’ claims as false and fraudulent. Riley is now the owner of Graceland following her mother’s death.

The lawsuit also revealed that the notary listed on Naussany Investments’ paperwork, Kimberly Philbrick, had never met Lisa Marie and never notarized any documents for her, as Naussany Investments claimed.

I know for a fact I didn’t notarize anything for her. I would have remembered it,” Kimberly said. “It’s like they didn’t even attempt to make it look good. Everything was fraudulent. Everything was fabricated.”

A Tennessee judge ruled to halt the auction until it could be determined who had rightful ownership.

Who Was Charged In Connection To The Alleged Scam?

At first, a “Nigerian identify thief” claimed responsibility for the alleged scheme to steal Graceland. But NBC News later linked a 53-year-old Missouri woman named Lisa Jeanine Findley to the scam.

NBC News connected Findley to the alleged plot to steal Graceland in June. The outlet encountered a fake Facebook profile using the Naussany Investments name. That profile connected to several fake emails, reviews, post office boxes, phone numbers, and fax numbers.

A former acquaintance of Findley’s, Rasheed Jeremy Carballo, told NBC News that she spoke to him about an idea to make millions off of Graceland.

NBC News reports:

In addition to the links reported by NBC News in June, the [criminal] complaint stated FBI investigators found via telephone and email records that Findley had called the Shelby County Register’s Office, where the fake Graceland deed was filed, and used burner emails connected to her phone number to submit notices of the foreclosure to a Memphis newspaper. FBI investigators also reported bank records for the account number provided for payment by Naussany Investments was actually Findley’s personal checking account.

Authorities arrested Findley on Friday morning (August 16) in connection to the alleged scheme to steal Graceland. Her charges included mail fraud and aggravated identity theft.
