Morgan Wallen breaks his social media hiatus with big announcement

At the end of May, country music superstar Morgan Wallen unexpectedly deactivated his Facebook and Instagram accounts. No explanation was given for the abrupt exit, and fans began to speculate what the singer/songwriter had up his sleeve.

Since April, the Tennessee native has been on the road for his One Night At A Time stadium tour, which has been selling out massive arenas around the country. Over the weekend, he had to postpone three shows due to an unexpected illness. He wrote:

“I hate to reschedule shows but I powered through being sick in Tampa last night, and unfortunately woke up feeling way worse today. I would not give you guys anywhere near 100% tonight…”

The show will take place on September 22nd, 2024, and tickets go on sale this Wednesday, July 17th. A large turnout of Morgan Wallen fans is expected at Neyland Stadium, which has a capacity of just over 100,000.

Wallen was born in Sneedville, Tennessee, about an hour northeast of Knoxville, where the concert will take place. Many of his songs, including “Tennessee Fan,” “Talkin’ Tennessee,” and “More Than My Hometown,” pay tribute to his Tennessee roots.

Ernest and Hardy will join Morgan Wallen in Knoxville

Fellow musicians and long-time collaborators Ernest and Hardy will be featured performers for the September show. Ernest recently announced a break from touring to spend time at home with his family but will return to the stage in time to entertain fans in Knoxville.

Hardy has frequently toured with Wallen over the years, and the pair reportedly share a brotherlike bond.
