Pickle juice and whiskey are one of the greatest combinations to have come from behind the bar. The pickleback is a very interesting whiskey shot that you have to experience for yourself. It’s incredibly simple—a shot of Jameson chased by a shot of pickle juice. The pickle juice neutralizes the burn of the alcohol while, at the same time, brings out different layers of flavor in the whiskey.

If you enjoy pickleback shots at the bar, then you’ll be excited to hear of a new spicy pickle whiskey called Whicked Pickle. Created by the Missouri-based Holladay Distillery, Whicked Pickle is now available in select states across the US.

Whicked Pickle is a dill pickle flavored whiskey with a peppery heat on the finish. It can be enjoyed as a shot, straight, or chilled, but it also can be added to classic cocktails as an unexpected substitution for vodka or gin.
