Dancing with the Stars is on a mission to find its next pro dancer.

Last month, it was revealed that the popular dancing competition is creating a spinoff titled Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro Dancer. The series will find the next professional dancer to join the cast.

It will premiere on Monday, July 13, and will be hosted by Season 34 winner Robert Irwin.

Viewers will also see longtime DWTS pro Mark Ballas and his mother, known as the “Queen of Latin,” Shirley Ballas, stepping in as judges.

There’s less than a month to go until fans see the 12 hopeful dancers battle it out.

To get viewers excited, Dancing with the Stars has dropped the first trailer for the new series. In it, we get an official look at the contestants, along with a glimpse of some of the grueling challenges they’ll have to face.

“For the first time in Dancing with the Stars history, the greatest dancers will compete for a spot as the next pro,” Robert Irwin says in the trailer’s intro.

From the clip, viewers learn that DWTS judge Derek Hough and one of the show’s pros, Britt Stewart, will appear as guest judges during the season. The trailer also gives a peek into their judging styles, and it seems Shirley is the one coming in with the toughest expectations.

“It was 100 percent the wrong choice,” she says to one of the contestants.

A montage of clips from the upcoming episodes shows there will be plenty of tears, intense pressure, and even a few injuries as the competition goes on.

Dancing With The Stars Names First Three Celebrity Contestants Of Season 35

Shortly after fans find out who will be chosen as the next pro dancer, Dancing with the Stars will return for its 35th season this fall.

Not many details have been announced yet, like the official premiere date, but we do already know three celebrities who are set to compete this time around.

Reality star Maura Higgins, known for her time on Love Island and The Traitors, was the first celebrity confirmed for the cast.

It was later revealed that Ciara Miller, another reality star known for her appearances on Summer House and The Traitors, will also compete.

Joining them is Jackson Olson of the Savannah Bananas, who will swap the baseball field for the ballroom as he competes for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The remaining cast members are expected to be announced sometime in early September.
