Official Trailer For Season 2 Of “Landman” Released
on Oct 01, 2025

Taylor Sheridan’s Show Landman Made Waves Last Year
Landman premiered on November 17, 2024 on Paramount+, and it quickly became Paramount+’s most-watched series.
Just a couple weeks into airing the season, IMDb revealed that Landman reached 14.9 million households in the first four weeks. The Top 5 shows on Paramount+, at the time of the report, were all created by Sheridan.
- Landman
- 1923
- Tulsa King
- Lioness
- 1883
Landman follows Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, a landman for an oil company. Norris is also the Operations Vice President at M-Tex Oil, which is owned by Monty Miller (Jon Hamm). Ali Larter and Demi Moore also star, alongside Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Paulina Chavez, Mark Collie, and James Jordan.

The show is based off a podcast called Boomtown, which is hosted by Christian Wallace, who co-created Landman with Sheridan. Boomtown tells the story, broken down into many parts, about the Texas oil boom.
Season One had so many twists, turns, and curveballs that even when the season finale aired, fans didn’t know who was alive or who was dead! Hamm’s character was assumed dead, but some fans had hope that he would pull through.
The Season 2 trailer confirms his fate, though.
Legendary Actor Joins Season 2
In April, it was confirmed by the show that legendary actor Sam Elliot had joined the cast for Season Two.
Rumors of the casting news was swirling for a while, and since he had starred in Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel 1883, he was already in the Sheridan Universe. And we all know that Sheridan loves using actors in different projects!
“Welcome to the patch, Sam Elliot! See you on Season 2 of Landman,” the show’s official Instagram read.
On September 4, Landman released a teaser for Season 2, which shows Tommy speaking to Elliott’s character, T.L., on the phone.
“So just another day?” T.L. asks, and Tommy responds, “Just another day, Pop.”
This exchange left us all wondering if Elliott plays Thornton’s dad this season, or if “Pop” is just a term of endearment between old friends.
Landman Releases Official Season Two Trailer
On October 1, Landman released the full-length trailer for the season, which premieres on November 16.
In the first few moments of the trailer, it is confirmed that Monty is dead and his wife, Cami, played by Demi Moore will still be the owner.
“I run the company,” Tommy says. “She owns it.”
Tommy seems to try to convince Cami to sell the company, but she refuses and Tommy is the one who has to figure out how to make it work.
It is also confirmed that Elliott does, in fact, play Thornton’s dad, revealing that he lost 60 years, seemingly of a relationship with his family.

Thornton can be seen pushing Elliott in a wheelchair in one scene, just after the 1883 star punches out someone in a gymnasium.
There is plenty of high-energy and stressful situations in the oil field involving Tommy’s son and Jordan’s character Dale Bradley, a petroleum engineer.
It’s safe to say that Season Two looks just as good, if not better, than Season One. Tune into Paramount+ on November 16 to watch the premiere.
