While responding to various comments, Oliver Anthony revealed he is “getting out of the music industry”

Another comment he responded to was when a fan said, “Oliver Anthony is literally everything that is right in the music industry!!! Just a genuine good dude! Keep it up brother!”

Anthony decided that was the time to let his fans know his next career steps: leaving music behind for ministry.

He responded:

“I’m in the process of getting out of the music industry. It’s a big joke. The plan is to eventually change my entire focus to traveling ministry work. It’s all part of this Rural Revival thing. I just have to go at it in baby steps since it’s completely DIY.”

Anthony has always been religious, even reading a Bible verse during his Grand Ole Opry debut, so him transitioning into ministry isn’t completely out of left field. Additionally, ministry also includes music, so he will likely still be performing during his traveling.

No matter what, we will always look forward to what Oliver Anthony has planned.

Who is Oliver Anthony?

Oliver Anthony is a singer who went viral In August 2023 after radiowv published his performance of his original song “Rich Men North of Richmond. The song currently has over 175 million views on YouTube alone.

The public loved Anthony’s vulnerability and openness about his troubles with alcoholism and mental illness. They also enjoyed his “stick it to them” attitude about politics and the fact that he read from the Bible at his shows.

Thanks to his unprecedented success, Oliver launched a world tour, recorded a 2.5-hour podcast with Joe Rogan, made his Grand Ole Opry debut, played at the legendary Houston Rodeo, and had a two-night gig at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

Despite having all this success, Anthony has revealed that he has turned down several record label offers over the past 14 months. He also has said that he “never has to work again.”

Oliver Anthony (real name Christopher Lunsford) has always chosen to do things his own way and he isn’t stopping now.
