What To Know About The Fires Sweeping Through Los Angeles
Uncontrollable fires continue to sweep through parts of Los Angeles County. They began on Tuesday, January 7, sparked by extremely dry conditions and quickly intensified due to strong winds.
One of the hardest-hit areas is the Pacific Palisades, where thousands of homes and businesses have been destroyed. Mandatory evacuations have been issued for all residents, and nearby communities have been advised to leave and seek safety as their homes remain at risk.

According to recent updates from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), two fatalities have been confirmed as a result of the fires, with multiple injuries reported. The LAFD has stated that they are facing a shortage of county workers to combat the fast-moving flames, which remain 0% contained.
